How do you like this layout with all the papers and elements I've made myself! Kim and I are slowly getting our business up and running. We'll see how it all goes. So far it's been really fun getting things ready. Still...it's a timely process that isn't going too fast. But then it's only been a few weeks since we decided upon our little new adventure.
Well, I am off to a "all girls weekend" up at our friends cabin. No children, no men....just us gals. What are we going to do you ask? Well...what happens at the cabin, STAYS at the cabin. hee hee. Fun stuff I'm telling ya!
We (ok, Steve) is now babysitting Lucy...who is Tim and Michaela's little puppy. Chester....who is Jimmy and Alexis's BIG puppy went home. We should just open our own little boarding place. Is that what they call it? Not sure! We'll (again, Steve) will only have lucy over the weekend!
That's about all that is going on right now. Gotta go! Have a fabulous Friday and weekend!

Finally get a little time to blog!~

Hello! I am finally sitting down to blog on my little neglected blog! Steve's away on a business trip down to boring Ark. where it's 86 degrees and humid, as I've been told; and the child is asleep with unknown knowledge that the pillow gently placed next to her sleeping little body is not actually mommy. NOW I have the time to sit down and work on my blog.

Ok....we are on to Halloween costume #2. It's a lion. She wanted it so I got it for her. She states she "did not like the bee", so hence getting the lion outfit. No luck on getting her to try it on. Bet cha 50 bucks when it comes time she throws a fit and goes out trick or treating in nothing. I'll have to withhold candy from her and then use it to brive her to get into the outfit.

On Sunday, Madison and I went over to Auntie Barbies for a little packer/vikes party. It was fun. The girls dressed up as diva's and modeled for us. It kinda of reminds me of the old Madonna days! Fun stuff.
I'll blog abit later on, but wanted to post this cute little layout of Madison. I have done this picture before but it's so cute!

Pics of Tyler

Finally, a little blogspot about our TyTy! Here are a few photos of him in his summer play productions! But don't get your hopes up too high...that's ALL we have about him. Haven't talked to him lately. The first 2 are from his play "I love you,now change".....the 3rd is from "guys & dolls".

Cute little layout of the booger.

Oh Lord forbid, Halloween is totally going to be a nightmare. This is the cute little bee costume that I bought at Target for 12.99.

Cute, cheap, but the kid is NOT going to go smoothly with it. It took close to 24 hours for her to LET ME try this costume on, and then when SHE decided (yes, the 2 1/2 yr old made the decision, not the 38 yr old) she was ready to try it on, she was screaming bloody murder because both her arms got stuck. Jeez Louise.

The outfit is going back to Target.
I wonder what outfit number 2 will be and wonder how many more outfits there will be. Surely other mothers can give advice on this subject in the comments below.

Happy Monday!

Well, I figured I had better blog something so people don't think that I have given up on my blog! There just hasn't been much to blog about! Even I, who can pretty much talk about everything and anything doesn't have much to say lately! Just not alot going on which sometimes is good!

This weekend consisted of going to the park and fishing again. Madison brought along her dolly to the park and I photographed her (the dolly, not madison) while I was watching Steve play on the playground stuff with Madison.

I am sure the people thought I was nuts taking a picture of a doll. Of course they probley think I am even crazier taking a picture of my starbucks iced' coffee.

Oh, we have Chester back for another week! Yeah! He is such a good doggie and Madison LOVES playing with him! Well peeps, that's all the news that the Michaels household has. Have a good Monday everyone!

Not much to blog about lately. I WISH I would remember to bring down my camera (bet cha never thought I'd forget my camera ever, did ya?) to Lynnies so I could take a photo of what we have been doing to her porch. It is probley the coolest porch EVER! I wanted to do a before and after photo, but there will only be an "after" photo since I forgot the camera again when we started.

Chester went home with Alexis today after I picked her up from the airport. We'll miss Chester, BUT we get the honor of babysitting him for another week next week. Kinda got use to that doggie being here:)

Here's a cute little photo of the little booger that Steve took. The white thing in the photo is her little puppy.... hee hee, she was relaxing by the pond with her puppy.

I think Madison had her first little dream where she woke up actually being mad. She woke up this morning accusing me of having ice cream but not letting her have any. I kept telling her we don't have any ice cream and she'd say, YES YOU DO!!! She was in complete hysteria for about 15 minutes. Surely she got that from her mother:) She finally calmed down abit and was quite happy with her cereal bar that I ended up giving her.

That's all peeps. I don't have much to say!

Sunday

Well, it was another beautiful day today and we went back to the park! FUN STUFF. Not a whole lot going on besides that. Oh, I finished putting magnets on the back of the little alphabets that Madison and I created on our last little craft day (actually craft hour, maybe only 1/2 hr at the most). The magnets look cute and colorful on our fridge! You my friends get a little sneak peak at them...here they are.... I don't know if I ever mentioned that awhile back I won a contest at our little town scrapbooking store. I won the grand prize of 100.00 worth of stamps. I acutally had to wait for ever for the lady to get them to me and she felt so bad she gave me 200.00 worth of stamps. That was so fun picking them out! It was like being a millionaire and instead of spending 10.00 like we would do on ONE stamp, perhaps TWO if it was a good payday, you'd go out and easily purchase 200.00 worth of stamps...just because you can. To tell you the truth, 200.00 worth of stamps really is not a whole lot of ACTUAL stamps. Not that I am complaining..... We are still babysitting Chester. I will miss him when he is gone. I think we will all miss him. Except Steve won't miss cleaning up the poop part of him:) hee hee.

Saturday

What a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful fall day today! Is it acutally fall or technically still summer? I guess meterology isn't my strong point. I don't even know if meterology would be the correct name. That's weather, right? Must be then:)

Anyways....on this beautiful day we went down to the "big" park. Madison was soooo happy that we got there FINALLY. Seriously, I am closterphobic and had a little mini attack the last time we went to the park and I had to go through those tunnels. I am sure the 100 degree heat had something to do with it, however, I STILL can't muster up the courage to get through those tunnels hence we never got there most of the summer since Steve's hemotobin seroma (the leg thingie) prevented him from doing any climbing on or in things.

We also brought the poles along and did a small (very small) amount of fishing. Madison started getting crabby and well, you know how that goes! Madison caught a few small sunnies and Steve and I didn't acutally catch anything but had a few fishies take our worms!

Then we went walking and saw the first signs of fall! Come to think of it, doesn't summer end like September 21 or something? I just don't remember leaves turning this early. Guess it is mid September. We walked while missy m snoozed in her stroller (grahm crackers and all on her mouth still). It was a fun day out today!

Oh......we are so horrible at bdays...Happy birthday Niki and JoAnne! Of course it's midnight and I just looked at the calender and saw we missed your bdays (both)....oops. One of these years we'll be really good and get it right...on time.

Babysitting...

Boy, am I ever slacking in the blogging department lately. Too much stuff to do I guess. But then again, ask me what it is I am doing and I can't really tell ya. I am sure Steve can't tell you what I am doing either!

Oh, we are babysitting Chester. Chester is Jimmy and Alexis's doggie. Here are some cute pics of him.

Madison absolutely loves him! And Chester is SUCH A GOOD DOGGIE! He listens very, very well and I am totally comfortable with him around Madison. It's fun to watch them because they are on about the same wavelength! haha. I am laughing so hard right now over that statement but it's so true! I am sure I will get some excellant photos of the two of them over the week.

Oh, did we tell everyone that Tyler got into the Shakesphere play at college? We do not EVER hear from the boy so there is not much more I can say about him. Steve did call him tonight because it's been so long since we've heard from him. I would assume the school or Barb would notify us if he were in any type of immediate danger. Ty, if you are reading this blog, "PHONE HOME".

Made these papers myself.

Do you like the papers in this layout? I made everything myself. If you aren't a digi scrapper you probley won't get it, but this is my first minikit. Kim and I are starting our own little digiscrapping business. Just learning some of the ropes so nothing is great.....YET!

Layout of Anna

I LOVE this layout I did of Anna and her horsie!

Layout for Papa

Love this picture soooo much that I had to do a layout of it for you papa. A little bday present AFTER your birthday:)

It's been awhile since I've posted!

Hi!
I feel like I haven't been to my blog forever and ever! But fear NOT....I have returned with updates glore. Acutally nana and papa have been in town for papa's bday for the last 4 days or so and we've been busy running around with the fam. It's been really fun. Thursday night we went over to Jeff and JoAnn's for dinner. Then on Friday, Steve took the day off of work and bright and early the guys went golfing (I choose to sleep in)! That night everyone came over to eat supper. Nana had a little mishap with the jalapeno's buring her hands. Poor Nana.
In the afternoon we also went golfing, this time with myself included. Note: the absolute worst game I have ever golfed. Seriously. Infact, the afternoon golf game wasn't that hot for anyone that participated in our little golf group! Saturday the guys woke up early again and went fishing while Nana and I and the little misses (Madison) went to Anna's horse show. It was fun! The horses are beautiful. Sunday was the reinsance! Nana and Papa are leaving tomorrow! It was fun spending time with everyone! Bye Nana and Papa.....we love you and miss you already *disclamer: you both are acutally sleeping in our house right now, but you know what we mean!

It's our 3rd Anniversary!

just another layout.

Guess who went to the zoo today and forgot her camera. Me. Bummer....oh well....! It was super duper hot out. That was about all we did on this Labor Day. Tomorrow is our 3rd anniversary. I am going to upload a video thingie I did for Steve shortly. Good night!

Today

Here is our little missy M with my sports bra on. She is in such a hurry to grow up! hee hee. Steve said she played with my bra for about 5 mintues and then he ran and got the camera!
Too funny.
We ended up going to the farmer's market today down in Mpls. Steve bought some more pickles to pickle. That's about all!
For Labor day we are probley just going to go to the como zoo. We have a bunch of ticket we need to use up at the kiddieland rides. Madison will have fun.
Oh, I put a new poll up to the right of this blog entry. I am trying to decide on how to spell Madison's nickname. Yes, YOU our friends will help determine how we should spell our child's nickname. Not that anyone really cares, but I have spelled it different too many times and thought it's about time we narrow it down to one spelling. So, get your votes in. I'll leave it up there for a month.

Happy September

Happy Friday

Just a little cute layout of Maddy. I don't know how I should spell Madison's name when I use Maddie. I could get very urban and spell it Madi. Hmmmm, I spell it a few different ways right now so maybe I'll post a new poll after the other poll is done with.
Oh...happy friday. whoo hoo.
Tonight I am going to go down to my sister Lynn's house and help her start painting her porch. She has this really great porch that she doesn't utilize. I am forcing her (not really) to do something great with it! We are going to paint is a awesome red color and then I want her to put white lights in there! Not sure if she'll go for the white lights but I am sure after she sees how great the red looks she'll go for it.
Well, gotta go pick up my little Maddy. Or Maddie, or Madi, or Mady, or Madee.

Today

Alexis and Jimmy went with us to the State Fair last night and they stayed over because Alexis left for Africa with the Navy gaurds this morning. I made a little layout for them. It's been great seeing them so much lately!

Madison and I had a fabulous day today! It was one of those Mommy days that every mother wishes for...the child is behaving, the mother is connecting perfectly to the child, the mother has patience, the child is happy and not whiny, the weather is perfect, we get the park all to ourselves, the child is beyond cute, the mother is just happy.......YES, one of those days. We actually even went down to the park twice. I got all involved with the sandcastle that I was building and trying to perfect to a tee (okay, I was pretending it was a 3 tiered wedding cake) and even though when Madison saw it and smooched it, I was still pretty dang proud of my perfectionism. No camera was with or you could bet there would be a photo of it to proudly display.

Even at Target she was good and for the first time in a long time we got to go without having to go up and down the toy isle. She was just such a good little girlie today! I bought us some clay (I determined that this afternoon was going to be craft day) and we cut out little squares and baked the clay so we could paint them and make refridgerator magnets out of them. She is still full of paint sleeping in bed right now. I will have to give her a tubbies in the morning!

Does anyone know Ty's email address? I can't find it. You can post it below under comments.

State Fair

We ended up going to the State Fair last night. It was pretty fun! It rained a little bit but was more of a mist, so that was no biggie. Unbelievably, I didn't eat much there (shock, shock) so I am feeling pretty good today and not having a state fair hangover (food). Here is a layout of the child...

One more layout today...

Just had to play around abit more with my new papers. That's all I have time for. How fun! Well, I am off to the bank and to get car tabs. Fun stuff.

Finally my internet is back on! Last night we had some horrible storms again and it blew out the cable and internet. Jeepers....talk about withdrawl! I was expecially going through withdrawls because one of the designers that I do layouts for gave me a 20.00 gift certificate to spend at any digital paper store I want for me using her papers in the book that I was published in! I knew I had a 20 bucks to be able to spend and there was NO internet.

That was such a awesome gift for me. I choose this place called weeds and wildflowers at http://weedsandwildflowersdesign.com/. They have very cute stuff there. Here is a layout I did using their stuff. We did not get any damage from the storm. It was a pretty bad one...even Steve said something about us all going downstairs. Madison slept through it though!

We are going to try to go to the State Fair today with Jimmy and Alexis. I hope it doesn't rain because I don't think we'll go if it does. But who knows. I already promised Madison we were going....suppose I shouldn't of said anything to her. She did NOT want to go to daycare today to see her buddies and I had to brive her with letting her bring her HUGE gigantic monkey. Here is a photo of it (btw, the monkey is the orange one - hee hee):
When the kids saw her walk in with it, they yelled out "woah!!!!!!". Apparently she is the "it" girl today.
Oh, while I was internet deprived, I made a little blinkie for our family....That is will be it for blinkies for awhile as I burned myself out making the last 2. Here it is:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I just created this blinkie for one of the women I design for. Do ya like it? You might not know what a blinkie is. It is something that you use as a tag to your name to show who you design for if you are on a creative team in the digi scrapbooking world. Now you know! Not sure how else these are used. I figured out how to do these so now I am wanting to make blinkies for everything. This is another sleepless night, so I am able to do silly things like this. It actually takes a long time to make a blinkie. This one probley took about 1 hour to make. I am SURE this is way more information than you have ever wanted to know about a blinkie. Maybe you'll have it in a trivia question or something and you'll remember this blog entry about blinkies.
I'll let everyone be now and get off this subject.

Saturday

On Saturday we (me, Madison, Auntie Lynnie and Logan) went to this super awesome pool in Shakopee. It is a sand filled pool so it's like a beach at the lake, but still is a pool. I am so bummed that we didn't get there earlier this summer. Oh well...next summer I think we might get a pass there for the summer. That's how cool it is. Madison was too afraid to go on the slides that went into the water, so maybe next year she'll be out of the phase. I'm sure she'll be in another phase that will prevent her from wanting to do something.
Before we went to the pool we went to the park and played around abit. This is Loggie on the little kids stuff. He's funny. He's so good with Madison!
Well, TyTy is back off to college! We didn't know he was going to leave for school when he did. I wanted to take him shopping to get some school stuff. We took him earlier shopping for clothes so he has that at least. But still...i LOVE going school shopping for supplies. I am going to send him a little care package of stuff...so Ty, if you are reading this, tell me what else you need besides short and medium socks. Do you need notebooks or pens/pencils or anything? You can leave a comment under this blog entry and I will get it sent out to you asap. I may attempt to make you cookies again, but the last time I did that I just ended up eating them all, so we'll have to see!
Here is a little video of Madison swinging....fun stuff but still kinda boring! I am waiting for some good film footage to get on here!

Laughter

This is my all time favorite layout right now....not sure why cuz it's really simple, but I LOVE Madison laughing in the photo! The quote is pretty cool too!

Trading Spouses

Well, this weekend so far has been fun! Alexis is staying over the weekend so she can do her navy weekend at Fort Snelling! Steve went down to Jim's for the weekend. We are kinda "trading spouses" for the weekend! hee hee. They are putting in windows at their farm. Now Steve will know how to put windows in for our house! yeah! Madison is having a blast with her here! Here's a little video of the two of them playing out in the sandbox. Make sure you stay tuned for Madison's partial A-B-C's. Is she following in Tyler's footsteps or what?
